Pi(e) Day

a lattice topped berry pie

Pi Day is coming up on March 14th, and we have a couple of pie recipes to help you celebrate! Recite as many numbers of pie as you can remember, figure out the circumference of a circle, and then sit down with a group of friends and a delicious pie for Pi Day. We hope that you have a great month here in Greenbelt, MD!

German Chocolate Fudge Pie from Let’s Dish

The chocolate filling and decadent topping make for an exceptionally sweet and delicious treat. The frosting is what really makes this recipe for us (although we love the brownie-like texture of the pie!). Use sweetened condensed milk, egg yolks, butter, vanilla, sweetened flaked coconut, chopped pecans, and salt to make the topping.

Samoas Cookie Pie from Averie Cooks

Turn your favorite girl scout cookie into a delicious pie. You’ll love the blend of chocolate, coconut, and caramel in this recipe. This is one of the richest recipes on our list, and we recommend having it with a large glass of milk.

Salted Caramel Pecan Chocolate Pie from Crazy for Crust

This salted caramel pecan chocolate pie will have you smiling. Oreos, butter, caramel squares, heavy whipping cream, salt, chopped pecans, and chocolate chips make this recipe one of the most decadent on our list.

Snickerdoodle Pie from Taste and Tell

Make this snickerdoodle pie for Pi Day. This recipe has just the right blend of sugar, cinnamon, and butter. Have this pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. You (and your friends) will love the homey taste of this scrumptious pie.

Apple Cinnamon Pie from Six Sisters’ Stuff

This apple cinnamon pie is comfort food at its peak. Apple pie filling and refrigerated cinnamon rolls make putting together this recipe easy. Top it with pecans and have it with milk or your favorite flavor of ice cream to finish.
